Community Services For Children

For many years Brown-Daub has supported Community Services for Children (CSC), an organization whose mission is to “prepare children and their families to succeed in learning and in life”. CSC puts children first and has numerous programs for educating them, like Early Head Start, Head Start, and Keystone Stars. They also help qualified parents find and enroll in subsidized child care.

While CSC receives funding through governmental grants, they need additional financial assistance through organizations, like Brown-Daub, to fill in the gaps. CSC programs provide equipment and supplies for classrooms, training for parents and staff, and emergency assistance in the form of basic needs (formula and diapers) to families in the Lehigh Valley who live at or below poverty level.

In addition to providing financial support, Thomas A. Daub has served on the Board of Directors for Community Services for Children for several years now. Sara George, VP of Development for CSC, commented the following:

“Tom Daub is a committed leader helping to break the cycle of abuse and restore babies to health who have been affected by prenatal exposure to drugs and alcohol through the SafeStart program provided by Community Services for Children. His care makes it possible for poor children from Easton, Bethlehem and Allentown have a fighting chance at a better life by starting school on par with their more affluent peers.”
